Garage Door In

Dustin and Delbert got the garage door in just in time before the snow storm hit and before we had freezing temperatures. The 2nd picture is a picture Jaren (Dustin's brother) emailed us. Our door will look like this when it is painted and the hinges are on.

Electric Service Line To The House

This is a picture of the trench that our electric service line is going to the house in from the transformer. Dustin rented a CX36 Excavator and dug the trench along with the boys. I didn't get any pictures, but the boys loved being on it with Dad. Dustin even let McKay and Kimble drive it by themselves....good thing we have 5 acres:)!

More Brick

More brick completed. Francis has been helping (when he can) Dustin cut the brick. It is looking good, it just seems like it takes a long time to get it done when it is usually a 'one man' crew.

Brick one layer at a time

Dustin started this first row of brick on October 11.

Progress on Brick one brick at a time. . .

The brick will go up to the bottom of the windows across the front of the house and then the entire entry way with Brick. We have 2 1/2 walls almost done.

The view we have!

More Inside Framing

Back of house

East side of house with all the windows cut out.

1st picture - walk in closet of 1st bedroom upstairs. 2nd picture - walk in closet of 2nd bedroom (hmmm, I mean "office" if the Grant County inspector is asking) upstairs.

Trusses meeting overbuild framing above great room at the edge of loft.

Dining room window and French doors off Dining Room

Great Room....Love the Big Window

The first picture shows looking through the bedroom closet into a gap in the bathroom wall where 2 studs were left out to allow the entrance and installation of a 1-piece fiberglass tub/shower. The right picture is looking through the bathroom door at an angle into a linen closet that will be off that bathroom and adjacent to the other bedroom closet.

Framed in pantry in the kitchen. Notice the cubby framed in on the left at counter height. That will have a cabinet door cover and serves as a shortcut for the toaster to pass back and forth through onto its shelf in the pantry.
